HypnoBirthing at kāer

Prepare for birth feeling calm, capable, and supported

Preparing for birth can bring up a lot —
questions, anticipation, and often more pressure than support.

At kāer, our 5-week HypnoBirthing course is designed to help you feel steady, informed, and grounded — regardless of how your birth unfolds.

This is not about striving for a “perfect” birth.
It’s about building confidence, flexibility, and trust — before you need it.

A different kind of birth preparation

Many childbirth courses focus on outcomes.
This one focuses on how you feel as you move through labour.

HypnoBirthing at kāer is an evidence-led, practical approach to childbirth education that supports both mind and body — so you can meet labour feeling prepared rather than overwhelmed.

You’ll leave with tools you can actually use:

  • In early labour

  • During moments of intensity

  • When decisions need to be made

  • And in the days that follow birth

What HypnoBirthing really is (and isn’t)

Despite the name, there are no swinging pendulums and nothing “woo.”

HypnoBirthing is grounded in physiology, nervous system regulation, and clear education. The techniques are simple, practical, and adaptable — whether you’re planning an unmedicated birth, an epidural, or a cesarean.

You’ll learn how to work with your body — not override it.

What this course supports

Over five weeks, you’ll gain tools to help you:

  • Reduce fear and anxiety before and during labour

  • Understand pain and how the body processes it

  • Learn how stress and relaxation affect labour progress

  • Stay present, calm, and informed as decisions arise

  • Feel supported and capable — even if plans change

This course supports any birth path.

There is no single “right” way to give birth — only informed, supported choices.

How the course is held

Designed to fit real life — and real nervous systems.

  • Live, online sessions you can join from home

  • 5-week progressive structure to allow time for integration

  • Small, partner-inclusive groups, capped at 8 couples

  • Space for questions, discussion, and support

Live delivery matters. You’re not just watching — you’re learning, practicing, and being supported in real time.

What you’ll learn over 5 weeks

Together with your support person, you’ll learn:

  • The physiology and stages of labour and birth

  • When to go to the hospital or birth location

  • How stress hormones impact labour — and how to soften them

  • Breathing techniques for different phases of labour

  • Comfort measures including massage, acupressure, and positioning

  • Communication tools for navigating labour and care decisions
