Why work with a naturopath for fertility?

Naturopathic fertility care looks at the whole picture — not just lab numbers. A fertility naturopath can support:

Fertility care that feels more grounded

There is already so much pressure surrounding fertility.

Many women come into care feeling overwhelmed by conflicting information, endless wellness advice, and fear-based messaging around what they should or should not be doing.

At kāer, we believe fertility support should feel grounding, supportive, and clear.

Preconception Naturopath Care in Toronto

Preconception care is some of the most impactful work a fertility naturopath can do.

Egg and sperm cells take roughly 90 days to mature, which means the months before conception are when nutrition, sleep, stress, hormone balance, and lifestyle have the strongest opportunity to influence fertility outcomes.

Your preconception plan may focus on:

Recommendations may include:

Every plan is tailored to the individual and evolves over time, whether you are trying to conceive naturally or preparing for IVF or IUI.

At kāer, we believe natural fertility support should feel grounding, supportive, and clear.

Our naturopathic approach combines evidence-informed medicine with whole-body care — nutrition, lifestyle, nervous system health, hormone support, and sustainable changes that support long-term wellbeing.

If applicable, Dr. Aida may also review:

perimenopause

Additional testing recommendations may be discussed when appropriate to better understand hormone balance, nutrient status, inflammation, metabolic health, or other factors that may influence fertility.

Rather than focusing on perfection or overwhelming protocols, the goal is to create a thoughtful, realistic plan that supports your body over time.

During your TTC Foundations Visit, care may include:

At kāer in Toronto, Dr. Aida Martinez focuses on preconception care, TTC support, IVF/IUI support, and ongoing fertility wellness.

No. Many women in Toronto begin naturopathic fertility care months before trying to conceive — egg and sperm cells take about 90 days to mature, so preconception care has the strongest impact when started 3 to 6 months ahead.

Yes. Naturopathic care is widely used alongside IVF and IUI in Toronto to support overall wellbeing, stress management, nutrition, hormone health, egg quality, and the body’s response to treatment. Dr. Aida coordinates timing and recommendations with your fertility clinic.

A fertility doctor (Reproductive Endocrinologist / REI) leads medical fertility treatment — IVF, IUI, prescriptions, surgical procedures. A fertility naturopath complements that care with longer appointments focused on the modifiable factors: nutrition, lifestyle, hormones, gut health, stress, and supplements. Most patients work with both.

No. Recommendations are individualized and intentionally focused. The goal is a realistic, sustainable plan rather than an overwhelming list of supplements.
